Unit-1-Administrative Management

• Making necessary resources available for effective administration
• Appoint necessary personnel for carrying out administrative work
• Provide adequate physical resources -registers, stationary
• Assigning duties and responsibilities –division of labour
• Create effective mechanism to best utilize their time
• Giving training to administrative personnel to improve their administrative efficiency
• Incorporating latest trends and resources in administration e.g. Computerization of
administrative work , Talley software
• Carrying out the need analysis for the resources
• Purchasing the resources
• Making the resources available for use-accessible
• Keeping record of the usage of the records
• Regular maintaining of the resources
• Stock taking of the resources
• Provision for resource mobilization
• Ensuing the optimum use of resources
• Maintaining records of all types in the school such as ledger book, salary register,
teachers’ and students’ profile, general register, outward register, inward register,
students’ results etc.
• Management of various curricular and co-curricular events at the school
• Managing the admissions, examinations, recruitment procedure of teachers,
correspondence with government officials, financial aspects such as grants received ,
expenditure of grants, collection of fees etc.
• Providing required information to its stakeholders
• Keeping the teachers updated about latest circulars , rules and regulations of
government pertaining to jobs
